To update the AmpliFi firmware or view its current version please follow the steps below. This article contains the release notes for the different firmware versions. To learn how to roll back (downgrade) your firmware go to the bottom of this page. Please note that the Alien line does not support rolling back to older versions.
Viewing Current Version
To find the AmpliFi device's current version please follow these steps.
1. Launch the AmpliFi app and select the device.

2. Select the About section.

3. The version is displayed under the Device Information header.

Updating to Current Version
To update the Teleport please see this section.
1. Launch the AmpliFi app.
2. Select the AmpliFi router icon.

3. Navigate to Update in the information subsection.

4. AmpliFi will check for the newest firmware and you will be prompted to upgrade if there is one available.
Warning During the upgrade the AmpliFi router will reboot and connection may be briefly lost.
Upgrading the Teleport
1. To upgrade the Teleport it must first be setup. Please click here to get to the Teleport setup article.
2. Once the Teleport is setup you will see the screen below. Click on the support option with the red up arrow.
3. Click on the update button the initiate the update.
4. The Teleport will be unavailable during the update.
Downgrading Firmware
Firmware can be rolled back through the AmpliFi web UI http://amplifi.lan/
Note The AmpliFi Alien And Teleport hardware line do not support the ability to downgrade.
1. Access the web UI amplifi.lan/
2. Click on support in the top right of the page
3. Notice the current firmware version and to the right there is an option to roll back the firmware
4. Once roll back is selected the AmpliFi device will bring up an option to roll back to the previous firmware.
If you need a specific firmware version to download, please contact support and ask to speak with an agent, since they will have to look into your specific issue to determine if a specific firmware will help solve it.
Note If you have multiple AmpliFi devices each will need to be rolled back individually.
Manually Updating Firmware
Firmware can be manually upgraded using a firmware file through the AmpliFi web UI http://amplifi.lan/.
1. Access the web UI update section http://amplifi.lan/sysupdate.php.
2. Select the device you want to upgrade by clicking on it.
3. Click on `Click to select a file` button; select a correct firmware file saved on your desktop device; click Upload.
4. After the firmware update file has been uploaded, click on "Update now" button.
5. The AmpliFi device will perform a firmware update and restart.
